Tubing Selection

For better performance of the fittings, the tubing should be reasonably sound, free from scratches and draw lines, have a good surface finish, and the ends should be free from burrs. The tubing should be compatible with the process fluid, temperature, and pressure. Fully annealed seamless tubing in accordance with ASTM A213 and ASTM A269 or equivalent, with a preferred hardness of 75–80 HRB, is best suitable for these tube fittings.
